Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - book

Uncharted - livro

  1. I read one of the books, Renaissance (is this how you write it?) and I guess I told you about it, you were not paying attention! Shame on you!
The book is not that amazing piece of art, but it works well as a link between games and books. Any ideas on how to use it in class?

    • Hey Rafa! I’m sorry, man, I guess you did tell me about it!
I guess books are a way of getting the teachers into the gaming world. I don’t think students have a problem with reading books (at least many of my students read quite a lot, specially with those Harry Potter / Twilight types of books.) Ultimately, the idea of incorporating gaming features into lessons should come from the teachers. Students have already made clear they will welcome the change.

      • It might help teachers see the potential of games. Problem is convincing them to see it as good literature. Rafa, what did you think of the books you read?

  2. We could have a hybrid lesson, with partly done at home (with the videogame) and partly done in class (selected reading of extracts from the book). Or vice versa…

    • That’s something we could do… we would have to select the right material.
Either Assassin’s Creed or Uncharted would not be options, because of rating… sad… we would have to go with other games.
Or we could find an adult group which would be willing to play videogame and have a videogame component in class.
